Vehicle lockout assistance
Being locked out can happen in seconds. A key may be left in the cabin, boot or another inaccessible part of the vehicle, or a locking fault may prevent normal entry.
Vehicle designs and locking systems differ, so the appropriate entry method depends on the make, model, year and circumstances. Our aim is to use suitable techniques while minimising the risk of damage.
What should you do?
- Move to a safe location away from traffic.
- Check whether another authorised key is available.
- Have your vehicle registration and location ready.
- Contact us and explain where the key is believed to be and what has happened.
Will entry damage my vehicle?
We prioritise appropriate, non-destructive entry methods where possible. However, no method can be guaranteed suitable for every vehicle or situation. We will discuss the circumstances with you before proceeding.
Proof of authorisation
For everyone's security, we may request evidence that you own the vehicle or have permission to access it before carrying out entry work.
